Product Description

Flavel Proflame Decadence Chrome Electric Fire

Model: FPFLDCRE

Add a bright and stylish focal point to your fireplace with the Flavel Proflame Decadence Chrome Electric Fire. This inset fire combines a robust cast-iron fascia with a deep, open-fronted fuel bed, realistic woodland-effect logs and glowing embers.

• Fascia height: approximately 630mm
• Fascia depth: approximately 120mm

Fire Box Dimensions

• Fire-box width: approximately 488mm
• Fire-box height: approximately 594mm
• Fire-box depth: approximately 192mm
• Inset installation depth: approximately 70mm

Important: The 70mm measurement refers to the inset installation depth. It does not represent the complete depth of the fire box. Therefore, always check the latest Flavel dimension drawing before preparing the fireplace opening.

Premium Chrome Cast-Iron Fascia

The Decadence uses a robust cast-iron fascia rather than a lightweight decorative frame. As a result, it has a solid and substantial appearance around the fireplace.

The reflective Chrome finish creates a clean and bright look. Therefore, it works particularly well with chrome fireplace fittings, silver accessories and modern neutral interiors.

Traditional Style with Modern Convenience

The Flavel Proflame Decadence recreates the appearance of a traditional open fire. However, it does not require stored fuel, a gas supply or a working chimney.

Its cast-iron fascia and deep fuel bed provide classic fireplace styling. Meanwhile, remote, app and voice controls add modern convenience.

Deep Woodland Log Fuel Bed

The full-depth fuel bed contains detailed woodland-effect logs designed to recreate the appearance of natural wood. Glowing ash-effect embers sit beneath the logs and add warmth and depth to the display.

Therefore, you can enjoy the look of a log fire without storing wood, cleaning ash or arranging chimney maintenance.

Dual-Colour Flame Effect

The Decadence offers natural-coloured flames as well as electric-blue highlights. You can enjoy the natural effect on its own or add the blue flames for a more modern appearance.

Furthermore, the adjustable flame-speed setting lets you change the movement of the flames. Choose a quicker speed for a lively display or select a slower setting for a calm and relaxing effect.

Flame-Only Setting

You can use the flame and fuel-bed display without switching on the heater. Therefore, the Decadence can remain an attractive fireplace feature throughout the year.

The energy-saving LED lighting also helps keep the running cost of the visual display low.

Heat Output and Thermostatic Control

The Flavel Proflame Decadence Chrome provides a heat output from 0.75kW to 1.5kW. As a result, it can provide useful supplementary warmth in a suitable room.

The thermostatic controls help maintain your selected room temperature. Therefore, the fire can reduce unnecessary heating while keeping the room comfortable.

However, the appliance should not replace a correctly sized main heating system where full-room or whole-home heating is required.

Remote, App and Voice Control

The supplied multifunction handset lets you adjust the fire from your chair. Alternatively, you can use the manual controls on the appliance.

For added convenience, download the compatible Flavel Smart App to a suitable iOS or Android device. You can then manage key functions from your smartphone or tablet.

The fire also supports Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Once you complete the required app and smart-home setup, you can operate compatible functions with voice commands.

Installation Options

The Decadence is designed for installation in a suitable fireplace opening or surround. Its 70mm inset rebate helps reduce the depth that needs to sit behind the decorative fascia.

However, the complete fire box measures approximately 192mm deep. Therefore, check the full product dimensions as well as the inset measurement before installation.

An optional spacer frame may provide another fitting option where the available recess is limited. Nevertheless, confirm the required spacer, opening and fixing method before ordering.

Installation Guidance

• Read the complete manufacturer’s instructions before installation
• Check the fascia, fire-box and inset dimensions separately
• Make sure the fireplace opening suits the appliance
• Confirm that the hearth and surround can support the cast-iron fascia
• Install the fire on a strong, level and secure surface
• Keep the heater inlet and outlet clear
• Allow the ventilation space stated in the instructions
• Keep the plug or electrical isolation point accessible
• Do not install the fire directly below a socket
• Do not use an extension lead
• Do not connect the fire through an external timer or smart plug
• Arrange fixed electrical work through a qualified electrician
• Follow all instructions supplied with the appliance

Electrical and Operating Safety

Keep curtains, furniture and other items away from the heater outlet. In addition, never cover the fire or block its ventilation openings.

Always switch off and isolate the appliance before cleaning or inspection. Then allow the fire to cool completely.

If the cable, plug or another component becomes damaged, stop using the fire and contact a suitably qualified technician.

Cleaning and Maintenance

First, switch off the fire and disconnect it from the electrical supply. Next, wait until it has cooled completely.

Clean the cast-iron fascia and outer surfaces with a clean, soft cloth. A slightly damp microfibre cloth may help remove light marks. However, avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads and strong chemicals because they may scratch or dull the Chrome finish.

Also remove dust from the air inlet and heater outlet regularly. This simple maintenance supports safe operation and helps preserve the fire’s appearance.

Three-Year Manufacturer’s Warranty

The Flavel Proflame Decadence comes with a three-year manufacturer’s warranty, subject to Flavel’s warranty terms and conditions.

Register the appliance if required and keep your proof of purchase. Correct installation, normal domestic use and suitable maintenance may also affect warranty cover.

Why Choose the Flavel Proflame Decadence?

The Decadence combines a substantial cast-iron fascia with realistic logs, glowing embers and modern electric-fire controls. Therefore, it offers a more solid appearance than fires with lightweight decorative fascias.

Furthermore, the bright Chrome finish suits many modern and traditional fireplace surrounds. The flame-only setting, remote, Smart App and voice-control options also make the fire easy to enjoy throughout the year.
