Positioning the Access Door

Install the elbow so the access door remains visible, unobstructed and easy to reach. Allow enough space for the door to open and for a competent person to insert suitable inspection or sweeping equipment.

Do not position the door against a wall, register plate, bracket or another flue component. In addition, do not install it within a concealed space or permanent enclosure.
