Product Description
Alpha Vertical Flue Terminal Kit 1000mm
Model: 3.031812 | Previous Part Number: 6.2000520
Complete a compatible vertical boiler-flue installation with the Alpha Vertical Flue Terminal Kit. This push-fit terminal provides a vertical route through a suitable roof and includes approximately 1000mm of concentric flue.
The terminal forms part of Alpha’s EasyFlue system and provides a neat finish above the roof. In addition, compatible extension sections and flue accessories allow the installer to create a longer vertical route when the boiler specification permits.
Important: Boiler and flue compatibility must be confirmed before ordering. The permitted length, number of bends and required supports depend on the exact Alpha boiler model.

Compatible Alpha Boilers
Alpha lists part number 3.031812 as a vertical flue accessory for several current condensing boiler ranges, including compatible E-Tec models. However, Alpha has produced different flue systems over the years.
Therefore, do not select the terminal by brand alone. Check the full boiler model, Gas Council number, installation manual and existing flue connection before ordering.
If you are replacing an older terminal marked with part number 6.2000520, confirm that Alpha approves the current 3.031812 version as its replacement for your boiler and installation.
Maximum Vertical Flue Length
Compatible Alpha extension sections can increase the vertical flue length. However, the maximum permitted length comes from the boiler installation manual rather than the terminal itself.
Many current Alpha boilers state a maximum vertical flue length of up to 14 metres. Older literature may refer to 15 metres for other models. Furthermore, every bend can reduce the available equivalent flue length.
Therefore, the installer must calculate the complete route before ordering. The calculation should include:
- The boiler model and output
- The straight vertical flue length
- The number and angle of any bends
- The resistance allowance for each bend
- The terminal and extension sections
- The required support brackets
- The manufacturer’s maximum equivalent length
Where Is a Vertical Flue Used?
A vertical flue allows the boiler products of combustion to discharge through a suitable roof. It may provide a solution when a horizontal wall terminal cannot meet the required clearances or installation layout.
The installer must position the terminal correctly in relation to roof openings, windows, boundaries, gutters and nearby structures. They must also maintain all clearances stated in the current boiler manual and Building Regulations.
Installation Guidance
- Confirm the exact Alpha boiler model before ordering
- Check that the boiler uses the compatible 60/100mm EasyFlue system
- Calculate the complete equivalent flue length
- Include the resistance allowance for every bend
- Use only compatible Alpha flue extensions and accessories
- Fit the supplied and any additional support brackets as required
- Use a suitable roof flashing for the roof type and pitch
- Maintain all terminal clearances stated in the boiler manual
- Make sure every flue joint engages and seals correctly
- Check that the roof penetration remains weatherproof
- Test the complete boiler and flue installation before use
A Gas Safe registered engineer must install or alter a gas boiler flue. The engineer must follow the current Alpha boiler and flue instructions in full.
Important Compatibility Information
Boiler flue systems are manufacturer-specific safety components. Therefore, never mix this terminal with another boiler brand or an unapproved flue system.
The installer should inspect the product label and all seals before fitting. Do not install the terminal if it is damaged, incomplete or unsuitable for the chosen boiler.
Check Before Ordering
- Confirm the exact Alpha boiler model
- Check the required flue diameter and connection type
- Measure the complete vertical route
- Confirm the maximum equivalent length in the boiler manual
- Allow for every bend and offset
- Check the roof type and pitch
- Select a compatible roof flashing separately
- Confirm the number of extensions and supports required
- Ask the Gas Safe installer to approve the design before ordering
