The 125mm VIT-Smooth 33° elbow with access door creates a shallow change of direction within a compatible single-wall connecting flue. Its built-in door also provides access for inspecting and sweeping the inside of the pipe.

The smooth three-segment construction creates a more gradual flue route than a sharply fabricated bend. Therefore, it can help form an offset while providing useful maintenance access at the change of direction.

Positioning the Access Door

Install the elbow so the door remains visible, unobstructed and easy to reach. Allow enough space for the door to open and for a competent person to insert suitable sweeping or inspection equipment.

Do not position the access door against a wall, inside a chimney opening where it cannot be reached or behind a permanent enclosure. The door must remain available throughout the working life of the installation.
