Product Description
Kartell Thermostatic Radiator Valve and Lockshield Pack White and Chrome
Model: TPLSTRVSA
Control the heat output from a compatible radiator with the Kartell Thermostatic TRV Pack. This matching valve set includes a thermostatic radiator valve and a lockshield valve, so you have both valves required for one radiator.
The TRV uses the surrounding room temperature to control the flow of heating water through the radiator. As a result, it can help maintain a comfortable temperature and reduce unnecessary heat use when set up correctly.
Kartell manufactures these modern radiator valves from quality chrome-plated brass. In addition, the white TRV head and polished chrome valve bodies complement a wide range of traditional and modern radiators.

How Does a Thermostatic Radiator Valve Work?
A thermostatic radiator valve responds to the air temperature around its sensor. When the room reaches the selected temperature, the valve reduces the flow of heating water through the radiator. It then allows more flow when the room temperature drops.
Meanwhile, the lockshield valve helps balance the flow through the radiator. Correct balancing allows the heating system to distribute hot water more evenly between its radiators.
Reversible TRV Design
The reversible design provides more choice when planning the valve position. However, you should still follow Kartell’s fitting instructions and check the required water-flow direction before installation.
Do not place the thermostatic head behind curtains, furniture or radiator covers. Trapped heat can affect the temperature reading and prevent the TRV from controlling the room correctly.
Installation Guidance
- Turn off and drain the heating system before removing existing valves
- Check the radiator and pipe connections before installation
- Fit the TRV where air can move freely around the thermostatic head
- Keep the TRV away from curtains, furniture and direct heat sources
- Fit the lockshield valve to the opposite radiator connection
- Refill, vent and inspect the system for leaks
- Balance the radiators to support even heat distribution
- Follow the boiler, radiator and valve manufacturer’s instructions
A suitably competent heating installer should fit the valves. Always confirm the connection size and heating-system compatibility before ordering.
