Secure a vertical TWPro chimney away from an external wall with this 125mm extended twin-wall support bracket. The support provides a wall projection of approximately 210mm to 420mm, making it ideal when the chimney must clear gutters, roof overhangs, deep eaves or other obstacles.

Installers can cut the support arms to achieve the required effective length. Therefore, this bracket offers a practical solution for chimney routes that need more wall clearance than a standard adjustable support can provide.

Please note: this wall bracket provides lateral support only. It does not carry the vertical weight of the chimney.

Extended Wall Clearance

This support positions the chimney further away from the building than a standard wall bracket. As a result, it can help create a straight vertical flue route around deep eaves, gutters, projecting brickwork and similar obstacles.

Before ordering, measure from the finished wall surface to the required chimney position. In addition, allow for the approximate 175mm outside diameter of the twin-wall pipe and its required distance from combustible materials.

Cut-to-Length Support Arms

The bracket comes with extended support arms. The installer must cut these arms to create the required projection between approximately 210mm and 420mm.

First, measure and mark both arms carefully. Next, cut each arm to an equal length so the chimney remains parallel with the wall. Finally, protect any exposed metal edges with a suitable corrosion-resistant coating before assembly.

Measure carefully before cutting because you cannot restore the removed sections.

Lateral Support Only

This bracket controls sideways movement and helps keep the chimney vertical. However, it does not support the chimney’s vertical weight. Consequently, the installation may also require a suitable base support, wall support plate, ceiling support or another approved load-bearing component.

Fit lateral supports at intervals of no more than 3 metres unless the TWPro instructions or site conditions require closer spacing. Additional support may also be necessary near bends, offsets or highly exposed sections.

Compatibility

This bracket fits the 125mm internal-diameter TWPro twin-wall system. Because the pipe includes 25mm of insulation around the inner flue, the main pipe has an approximate outside diameter of 175mm.

This support only fits compatible TWPro and KW Flue pipe and fittings. It is not interchangeable with other twin-wall chimney systems. Never mix different brands unless the manufacturer confirms compatibility in writing.

Installation Guidance

Fix the support to a strong structural surface. Moreover, select fixings that suit the wall material, bracket projection, chimney height and expected wind load.

Do not rely on render, insulation or lightweight cladding to hold the bracket. Instead, secure it into suitable brickwork, concrete, structural timber or another approved surface.

A longer wall projection can place greater force on the bracket and its fixings. Therefore, a competent installer must check the support arrangement and select suitable structural anchors.

After cutting the arms, set both sides to the same length. Then align the chimney vertically and tighten every connection securely. Finally, check that the bracket holds the pipe firmly without damaging its outer casing.

Clearance from Combustible Materials

The TWPro chimney system carries a G50 designation at T600. This classification declares a minimum distance of 50mm between the system and combustible materials under the stated test conditions.

However, the bracket’s wall projection does not automatically make an installation compliant. The installer must consider the wall construction, roof details and every nearby material. If another part of the installation requires a greater clearance, always use the greater distance.
