Support a 125mm TWPro chimney around the corner of a building with the TWPro Wall Support Corner. This adjustable matt-black bracket provides lateral support where the chimney needs to stand a long distance away from the wall.

The support adjusts from 270mm to 520mm from the wall surface. Therefore, it provides a total adjustment range of 250mm. You can also cut the support arms down during installation to achieve the required stand-off distance.

Important: This bracket provides lateral support only. It does not carry the vertical weight of the chimney. As a result, the flue system may also need a suitable load-bearing support.

Application

This adjustable corner bracket supports a 125mm TWPro chimney where the flue route runs around a building corner or needs a larger stand-off from the wall.

For example, it can form part of a correctly designed chimney system serving:

• Wood-burning stoves
• Multifuel stoves
• Other suitable solid-fuel appliances
• Compatible gas appliances
• Compatible oil-fired appliances

However, always check the appliance and chimney instructions first. These instructions will confirm the correct flue size, support spacing and chimney design.

Adjustable 270–520mm Wall Stand-Off

The support allows the chimney to stand between 270mm and 520mm away from the wall surface. As a result, installers can position the flue around corners, gutters, roof edges and other building features.

The bracket does not use a sliding adjustment. Instead, the installer must measure and cut the support arms to the required effective length.

Measure carefully before cutting. Once you cut the support arms, you cannot extend them again. Therefore, check the chimney position and wall distance before making any changes.

Lateral Support Only

This bracket controls sideways movement and helps keep the external chimney secure. However, it does not support the vertical weight of the chimney.

Therefore, the complete installation may also need a suitable base support, wall support plate, console support or another approved load-bearing component. Follow the TWPro installation instructions to choose the correct supports.

Support Spacing

Install lateral wall supports at intervals of no more than 3 metres, unless the TWPro installation instructions require closer spacing for the planned chimney route.

In addition, bends, offsets, exposed locations and high chimney sections may need extra support. A suitably competent installer should calculate the support layout before installation.

The correct system class depends on the appliance, fuel and chimney design. Therefore, check every part of the system before installation.

Distance to Combustible Materials

Under its T600 G50 classification, the TWPro insulated chimney must remain at least 50mm away from combustible materials.

However, the long wall stand-off provided by this bracket does not replace the need to check clearances. Another part of the appliance or chimney installation may require a larger gap. Therefore, always follow the largest distance stated in the full instructions.

Installation Guidance

• First, plan the complete external chimney route
• Measure the required wall stand-off before cutting the support arms
• Mark both support arms carefully to keep the chimney straight
• Cut the support arms evenly to the required length
• Protect any cut surfaces as required by the manufacturer
• Fix the support to a strong and suitable building surface
• Use only fixings suitable for the wall material and expected load
• Do not rely on this bracket to carry vertical chimney weight
• Fit extra lateral supports where the chimney design requires them
• Keep the chimney vertical, secure and correctly supported
• Maintain the required distance from combustible materials
• Finally, follow the appliance and TWPro installation instructions

The correct fixings will depend on the wall material and condition. Therefore, the installer must choose suitable fixings for brick, block, concrete or another approved surface.

Compatibility

This wall support fits the 125mm TWPro and matching KW Flue systems only. Other twin-wall chimney brands use different outside diameters and support designs. Therefore, do not use this bracket with another system unless the manufacturer confirms compatibility.

The 125mm size refers to the internal flue diameter. TWPro pipe also contains 25mm of insulation around the inner casing. As a result, the connected twin-wall pipe has an outside diameter of approximately 175mm.
